FAQ – Jane's Bark and Ride

Question 1

What is Jane's Bark and Ride?

Accepted Answer

Jane's Bark and Ride is a dedicated dog bus service that collects your dog from your door, takes them on a fun group outing with other friendly dogs, and drops them safely back home. It's socialisation, exercise, and adventure — all in one trip!

Question 2

Where do you take the dogs?

Accepted Answer

We visit a variety of dog-friendly secured fields. We will also be having fun beach days out several times a year. Routes are chosen to give dogs plenty of space to run, sniff, and socialise safely.

Question 3

How long is each outing?

Accepted Answer

Each session is typically 3 hours from collection to drop-off, depending on your location and the route for that day.

Question 4

How many dogs travel together?

Accepted Answer

We keep groups small — usually 4 to 6 dogs — so every dog gets plenty of attention and the group stays manageable and safe.

Question 5

How do I book a session?

Accepted Answer

Firstly contact us to arrange a meet and greet, we will then offer a free taster session to ensure your pup will fit in and have a fun day.

Question 6

What packages do you offer?

Accepted Answer

We offer a Single Session (£25), a Block of 5 (£115 — saving £10), and a Block of 10 (£220 — saving £30). Block bookings are great value if your dog loves the bus!

Question 7

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Accepted Answer

Yes — please give us at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Contact us via the Contact page or drop us a message and we'll sort it out for you.

Question 8

Is payment secure?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, one of the world's leading payment platforms. We never store your card details.

Question 9

Is my dog safe on the bus?

Accepted Answer

Safety is our top priority. All dogs travel in secure dog pods with a harness, your pup will not be put in a cage during transit. The bus is purpose-fitted for dog transport and Nikki is fully trained in canine first aid.

Question 10

Does my dog need to be vaccinated?

Accepted Answer

Yes — for the safety of all dogs on board, we require up-to-date vaccinations including distemper, parvovirus, and leptospirosis. Please have your vaccination records ready when you first book.

Question 11

What if my dog doesn't get on with other dogs?

Accepted Answer

We do a free meet-and-greet assessment before your dog's first trip to make sure they're comfortable in a group setting. If your dog needs a little extra time to settle, we'll work with you to find the best approach.

Question 12

What happens if my dog is unwell on the day?

Accepted Answer

Please don't send your dog if they're showing signs of illness — it protects the whole group. Just let us know as early as possible and we'll reschedule your session without any fuss.

Question 13

How do I get started?

Accepted Answer

Give us a call to arrange a free meet-and-greet so Nikki can meet your pup before the first trip. She will then arrange a free taster day for your special pup to meet our other adventurers. Then you will be able to book your pup onto the bus with Nikki. After that, you're all set for the adventure!

Question 14

What area do you cover?

Accepted Answer

We currently serve a number of local areas — get in touch via the Contact page to check if we cover your postcode. We're always looking to expand our routes!
