Dog lover, adventure planner, and the person behind every Bark and Ride trip. I started this service because I believe every dog deserves a great day out — not just a walk around the block.
How it all started
I've had dogs my whole life. Growing up in Havering, I spent every spare moment outdoors with them — fields, parks, woodland trails. When I got my own Shih Tzus, I wanted to give them the same kind of rich, stimulating life I'd always believed dogs deserved.
But I kept hearing the same thing from other dog owners: 'I just don't have time to take them somewhere exciting.' Work, kids, life — it all gets in the way. That's when the idea for Bark and Ride was born.
I converted a minibus, mapped out the best dog-friendly spots across Havering and East London, and started taking small groups of dogs on proper adventures. The response was overwhelming. Dogs came home happy and tired. Owners came home relieved and grateful.
My approach
Every dog on the bus gets the same care and attention I give my own.
Small groups only
I keep numbers low so every dog gets individual attention and no one feels overwhelmed.
Safety first
All dogs are secured during travel. I'm trained in canine first aid and carry a full kit on every trip.
Carefully chosen routes
I scout every location before taking dogs there — checking terrain, hazards, and off-lead suitability.
Socialisation matters
Dogs are carefully matched so the group dynamic is calm and positive. No bullies on my bus.
Where we go
Every trip explores a different corner of Havering and East London. From open fields in Upminster to woodland trails in Hainault Forest, I pick spots that give dogs space to run, sniff, and just be dogs.
