Dog lover, adventure planner, and the person behind every Bark and Ride trip. I started this service because I believe every dog deserves a great day out — not just a walk around the block. Jane,s Bark and Ride is named in memory of my dear Mum who was as passionate about dogs as I am.
How it all started
I've had dogs my whole life. Growing up in Havering, I spent every spare moment outdoors with them — fields, parks, woodland trails. When I got my own dogs, I wanted to give them the same kind of rich, stimulating life I'd always believed dogs deserved.
But I kept hearing the same thing from other dog owners: I need something more than just an hour dog walk, but a full day in daycare is too much - I need something in between That's when the idea for Bark and Ride was born. We bridge the gap between an hour dog walk and doggy daycare. Clients that work from home needed that few hours to dedicate to work, and their pup comes home happy, fulfilled and tired! Clients that go out to work have the peace of mind that their pup is not left all day, and is living their best life on Jane's Bark and Ride bus!
I purchased a minibus, sourced the best secured fields, and dog-friendly spots across Havering, ready to take groups of dogs on proper adventures. The response was overwhelming. Dogs came home happy and tired. Owners came home relieved and grateful.
My approach
Every dog on the bus gets the same love and attention I give my own.

I keep the pack small on purpose. Every dog gets my attention, every trip — no dog gets lost in the crowd or feels anxious.
Safety on every journey
Dogs are secured safely during travel, I hold a canine first aid certificate, and a full first aid kit travels with us on every single trip.
Locations I trust
I only take dogs to secured, fully fenced fields and locations I've personally checked — so you can relax knowing your pup is safe to run free.
The right pack for your dog
Before your dog joins the bus, we do a meet and greet and a free taster day. I match dogs carefully so every group is calm, friendly, and fun.
Where we go
Every trip explores a secured field within Havering and South Ockendon that give dogs space to run, sniff, and just be dogs. We will also be having beach days out several times a year which you will be able to book your pup on should you wish.
